Marketing Club – Niche Activity: Product Re-Launch

“Re-launching Ideas. Re-igniting Brands.”

The Marketing Club of IA School of Management Studies successfully organized a Product Re-Launch activity with the objective of enhancing students’ practical understanding of marketing strategies. The program commenced with a welcome address highlighting the importance of innovation in leadership, followed by the formal welcoming of the Director, judges, faculty members, and students.

The event was graced by Dr. Reena Shyam, Director, IA School of Management Studies, and esteemed judges Dr. Reena Shyam and Prof. Rajiv. The judges were formally welcomed with flowers by Prof. Afzal Basha, Faculty Coordinator of the Marketing Club.

Student teams presented their product re-launch ideas through PowerPoint presentations, focusing on Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) strategies. Each team was allotted 6 minutes for presentation followed by 2 minutes for Question & Answer, ensuring effective time management and clarity of communication.

The judging criteria included: Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning Strategy, Overall Creativity Presentation Skills, Time Management

The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by a student representative, followed by the College Anthem.

Learning Outcomes

After participating in this activity, students were able to:

  • Apply STP Concepts Practically, demonstrate a clear understanding of Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning by designing effective product re-launch strategies.
  • Enhance Presentation and Communication Skills, improve confidence in presenting marketing ideas concisely within a stipulated time and responding effectively during Q&A sessions.

The Product Re-Launch activity provided a valuable experiential learning platform, bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world marketing applications. It significantly contributed to students’ professional skill development, strategic thinking, and readiness for industry challenges.
