Industry Interface Program (IIP)

The Industry Interface Program (IIP) is a flagship initiative of the Centre for Industry Partnership (CIP) designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. It provides a structured pathway for students to gain practical exposure, develop professional skills, and build career readiness. Through its phased approach, IIP guides students from foundational experiences to successful entry into the corporate world.

Stages of IIP

  • Phase 1: Volunteering
Focuses on developing social responsibility, commitment, and interpersonal skills through engagement with NGOs and community initiatives.
  • Phase 2: Part-Time Industry Exposure / Personal Projects
Provides students with hands-on experience in real work environments, helping them understand workplace discipline, processes, and professional expectations.
As an alternative, students may also opt for personal projects such as participating in case study marathons, executing business plans, or working on research papers, enabling them to develop practical skills, creativity, and independent problem-solving abilities.
  • Phase 3: Internships
Enables students to apply academic knowledge in practical settings, gaining functional expertise and industry insights.
  • Phase 4: Final Placements
Facilitates students’ transition into full-time roles through structured placement support and industry connections.

From the Manager’s Desk:

Greetings from IASMS, Bengaluru.

At IASMS, our continued growth in academics and placements reflects our commitment to building a structured, industry-aligned learning ecosystem. With the implementation of the Centre for Industry Partnership (CIP) and its comprehensive framework, we have strengthened our approach to industry engagement, student development, and career outcomes.

Our flagship MBA programs have consistently attracted growing interest from both students and recruiters. This progress is driven by the collective efforts of our faculty, students, and administration, along with a clearly defined pathway for career readiness through the Industry Interface Program (IIP). The structured progression from volunteering to industry exposure, internships, and final placements ensures that our students are not only academically sound but also professionally prepared.

At IASMS, we focus on holistic development. In addition to core specializations such as Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources, students are equipped with industry-relevant skills through value-added programs in areas like Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, SAP, Advanced Excel, and Professional Development. These initiatives, combined with real-world exposure, enable students to develop strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal capabilities.

Our faculty bring a blend of academic excellence and industry experience, actively contributing to industry-driven projects, research initiatives, and student mentoring. Regular interactions with industry leaders, through seminars, workshops, and collaborative programs, ensure that our students remain aligned with current business trends and expectations.

We warmly invite organizations to partner with IASMS through internships, live projects, research collaborations, and campus recruitment. Through the Centre for Industry Partnership, we aim to build long-term, value-driven relationships that benefit both industry and academia.

Pre-Industry Training

The Centre for Industry Partnership (CIP) delivers continuous pre-industry training throughout the academic journey, ensuring students are consistently prepared for professional engagement at every stage. This structured and progressive approach aligns learning with evolving industry expectations and workplace demands.

As part of this ecosystem, CIP integrates LineupX, an AI-powered platform designed to enhance student readiness through technology-driven learning. LineupX enables students to create AI-optimized resumes, evaluate their ATS (Applicant Tracking System) scores, and improve their profiles for better visibility to recruiters. The platform also offers aptitude, skill-based, and domain-specific assessments, along with AI-driven mock interviews that provide detailed feedback reports, helping students identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Key training areas include:

  • Resume building and professional profile development
  • Interview preparation through mock sessions and AI-driven feedback
  • Business communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Workplace etiquette, collaboration, and professional networking

Through a combination of sustained training, advanced technology, and guided exposure, students develop the confidence, competence, and professionalism required to transition seamlessly into the workforce and succeed in competitive industry environments.

Deferred Placement Policy

For those interested in entrepreneurship or research-first careers, IASMS offers a Deferred Career Engagement Policy. This allows students to delay recruitment for up to six months and join industry cohorts with the next batch. The result is a safe environment that allows for experimentation with business ideas while maintaining access to formal career pathways.

Through these initiatives, the Centre for Industry Partnership provides a seamless bridge between the classroom and the boardroom, instilling graduates with confidence, adaptability, and lifelong employability.
