IA School of Management Studies (IASMS), the Management Wing of Indian Academy Group of Institutions (IAGI), successfully hosted its 4th International Conference, CONVERGENCE 2026, on 24 September 2026, in collaboration with Bengaluru North University (BNU) and the University of Technology and Applied Sciences–Shinas, Oman.

Themed “Global Perspectives on Digital Economies, Tax Reforms and Inclusive Development,” the conference brought together academicians, researchers and professionals to discuss emerging trends in digital technologies, taxation, economic transformation and inclusive growth.

The event was presided over by Dr. T. Somasekhar, Chairman, IAGI, and featured keynote addresses by Dr. Sujithkumar P. Sompur, IRS, Additional Commissioner, CBIC, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and Dr. Raul David, Associate Professor in Accounting, Charles Darwin University, Australia. The inaugural session included the traditional lighting of the lamp, a welcome address by Dr. Reena Shyam, Director, IASMS, and the release of the Conference Book of Proceedings.

CONVERGENCE 2026 received an encouraging response, with 89 research papers and over 150 research contributors presenting work across Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Supply Chain and Logistics, and General Management. The conference also featured international research contributions from Oman, the United States, the Philippines and New Zealand.

The academic proceedings included nine parallel tracks, encouraging knowledge sharing, constructive feedback and collaboration among researchers and professionals.

The successful conference reaffirmed IASMS’s commitment to research excellence, international academic collaboration and meaningful dialogue on emerging global business and economic challenges.
