IASMS witnessed a stimulating test of wit and financial acumen with the Finance Quiz Competition – “Money Matters”, conducted on the 9th of July 2025 at Seminar Hall II. Organized by the Finance Club, IASMS Finalytics, the event aimed to foster financial literacy, sharpen analytical thinking, and build a spirit of healthy competition among students. With enthusiastic participation from across departments, the quiz emerged as an intellectually charged and engaging affair.
The event commenced with a preliminary screening round that saw participation from 20 dynamic teams, each comprising two members. The screening round challenged participants with 20 thought-provoking questions spanning key areas of Financial Management, Risk, Banking, and more. Based on their performance, five top-scoring teams earned their place in the final on-stage competition, setting the stage for a thrilling battle of minds.
The final competition featured three diverse rounds: the Finance Knowledge Round, Logo and Tagline Identification, and a high-energy Rapid-Fire Round. Each round tested a unique aspect of financial understanding from core concepts to quick recall and decision-making under pressure. Participants displayed remarkable clarity, teamwork, and presence of mind, reflecting both their preparation and passion for finance.
What set Money Matters apart was not just the competitive rigor, but the learning environment it created. Students were exposed to real-world financial terminology, current economic trends, and brand recognition in a fun, engaging format. The audience, too, remained actively involved, cheering their peers and taking away valuable insights. The quiz fostered peer learning, camaraderie, and a deeper interest in the world of finance.
The event concluded with the felicitation of the winners, who were recognized for their excellence and quick thinking. Faculty members appreciated the efforts of the organizing team, particularly the Finance Club, for curating a well-structured and impactful event. Money Matters stood as a testament to IASMS’s commitment to experiential learning and academic excellence, leaving everyone eager for more such engaging initiatives.
