IASMS EDGE Program 2025 – Bridging Education and Career Excellence.
The IASMS EDGE Program (IEP) was successfully conducted at the IA School of Management Studies as a specially curated initiative to prepare MBA students for the corporate world. The program, designed to empower, develop, grow, and excel, focused on enhancing the personality, confidence, and career readiness of students. It provided them with the much- needed edge to perform exceptionally in placements and internships, ensuring that they were future-ready for professional challenges.
The sessions began with an inspiring address by Dr. Reena Shyam, Director of IASMS, who ignited the spirit of self-empowerment and growth mindset among students. Her talk set the tone for the program, motivating students to unlock their potential and embrace continuous learning as a pathway to success.
The second session, led by Prof. Sreeranjan Menon T, concentrated on mastering business communication under the theme “Communicate to Dominate.” This powerful session enabled students to understand the nuances of effective communication in the corporate world, ensuring they could articulate ideas confidently and persuasively. Following this, Dr. Kruparani M C delivered a powerful session on leadership and networking, titled “The Art of Influence,” which emphasized the importance of building strong connections and demonstrating influential leadership qualities.
The program continued with Prof. Rajiv and Prof. Asgar, who jointly conducted the session “Brand YOU.” Their focus on personal branding and digital presence gave students practical insights into shaping their professional identities in the modern digital landscape. This was followed by an engaging session by Dr. Madhavi Latha and Dr. Siji, who explored the “Power of Persuasion” through negotiation and group discussions, equipping students with vital interpersonal and collaborative skills.
In the latter sessions, Dr. Puja Archana Sahu guided students on acing personal interviews through her session “Ace the Impression – PI Skills.” This session sharpened students’ ability to present themselves confidently during placement interviews. The program concluded with Prof. Afzal Basha, who led a session on “Building Executive Presence and Corporate Etiquettes,” highlighting the significance of professionalism, grooming, and executive demeanor in the workplace.
The successful completion of the IASMS EDGE Program left students more confident, prepared, and industry-ready. Each session provided actionable takeaways that enhanced their employability and career prospects. The program not only strengthened academic learning with practical exposure but also gave students a competitive advantage in the professional world.
It truly empowered them to “Get the Edge, Stand Apart, Move Ahead, and Stay Ahead.”
