International Conference- Convergence 2025: “Shaping Tomorrow through Agile Innovation”
IA School of Management Studies (IASMS) successfully hosted its prestigious International Conference – Convergence 2025 on Wednesday, 24th September 2025, at the Indian Academy Campus, Bengaluru. Organized in collaboration with
Indian Academy Degree College (Autonomous), Bengaluru North University, Putra Business School (Malaysia), and the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS-Shinas, Oman), the conference brought together distinguished academicians, industry leaders, research scholars, and students from across the globe.
The event commenced with an inspiring inaugural session that set the tone for a day of academic excellence and thought-provoking discussions. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the release of the Conference
Proceedings by Dr. T. Somasekhar, Chairman, Indian Academy Group of Institutions. The audience was then addressed by eminent dignitaries, including Dr. Reena Shyam, Director, IASMS, who welcomed the participants, and Dr. Niranjana Vanalli V, Vice Chancellor, Bengaluru North University, who shared valuable insights on the future of higher education.
A major highlight of the inaugural was the keynote addresses by global thought leaders. Dr. Azmawani Abd Rahman, President & CEO, Putra Business School, Malaysia, spoke on the transformative role of innovation in redefining organizational growth. Dr. Joefrelin Collado Ines, HOD Economics, UTAS- Shinas, Oman, emphasized the role of agility in economic and business resilience, while Mr. Peter Yorke, Senior Strategy & Marketing Leader, SunTec Business Solutions, delivered an industry-focused perspective on strategy and marketing in the digital era. Their insights resonated deeply with the participants and set the stage for rich academic exchange.
The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation in Paper Presentations across ten tracks covering areas such as Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and General Management. Research scholars, academicians, and industry professionals presented innovative papers that explored disruptive technologies, agile business models, and sustainable growth strategies. The virtual presentation mode enabled participation from both national and international scholars, further expanding the conference’s global reach.
The best research contributions were recognized through cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹7,500, and ₹5,000, awarded in the categories of academicians & corporate professionals, research scholars, and students. This recognition not only celebrated
academic excellence but also encouraged future-oriented research and innovation. Selected papers were also recommended for publication in reputed peer-reviewed journals, adding significant value to the contributors’ academic journeys.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing committee, faculty coordinators, student volunteers, and all participants who contributed to the grand success of the event. The event was coordinated by Prof. Afzal Basha and Dr. Annapoorna M.S., whose dedicated efforts ensured the seamless execution of Convergence 2025.
